# What does auto-summarize do and why is it off by default?

Auto-summarize scores and summarizes answered team rep calls automatically. It ships OFF (in Coaching -> Settings) so there is no AI spend on team calls until you opt in. While off, manual summarize is always available.

Turn it on to score answered team rep calls automatically. Auto-scoring of AI agent calls is a separate toggle, also off by default. Coaching AI runs draw from your credit wallet at 1 credit = $0.01.
